Opening Keynote address for Stanford University’s Conference on Culturally Responsive Pedagogy and the Arts.

The conference explored the theory and practice of culturally responsive pedagogy and its relation to arts teaching and learning, with an emphasis on conference participants’ discovery into how students’ cultural frameworks can heighten learning and create truly inclusive classrooms, as well as an understanding of how the power of the arts drives this approach.
